In 2017, The Innovators’ Tea Party was held during National Science Week, on the 19th-20th August at FLUX in the Perth CBD.
The event was free for all students in years 10 – 12. There were 8 speed-networking sessions where students had 6 minutes to speak with each mentor in the session. Most of our sessions covered a wide range of STEM areas to give students the best exposure to the STEM careers available to them.
This year, there were also four themed sessions for students interested in a particular study area. These sessions still encompassed a range of career options, but were focused on one of the following areas:
- Environmental Sciences
- Medical & Health Sciences
- Technology & Data Science
- Engineering
We recruited 128 amazing women working in STEM to attend the event as mentors. You can read about some of them here.
