2018 Events

2018 was an incredible growth year for The Innovators’ Tea Party. We hosted 14 events across Mandurah, Bunbury and Perth for students in years 10 to 12 and introduced a speech night to engage students in years 7 to 9 and their parents. See below a snapshot of our story so far.

The Innovators’ Tea Party delivered its first regional events in Bunbury on Saturday 17th March. With thanks to our local and Perth based metro’s who attended this event.

On Saturday 19th May, The Innovators’ Tea Party partnered with Peel Bright Minds to host free speed-networking events in Mandurah for students of the Peel Region.

During National Science Week, on 11th and 18th August we delivered 8 sold-out events. To tailor the experience for students, some sessions covered specific STEM careers such as health and medicine, environmental science, engineering and creative technologies while some events covered a broad range of STEM fields. In November we hosted our first event for students in years 7-9, ‘Inspire in 5‘ and it was a great success. We hosted 12 inspiring women in STEM mentors who each spoke to an audience of 200 students & parents about their careers. We have had some great feedback on this event, and can’t wait to hold something similar soon.
