The Innovators’ Tea Party is a free speed-networking event for girls in years 10 – 12 who are interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Held during National Science Week (19th & 20th August) in the Perth CBD, there are multiple sessions to choose from and 130 passionate women keen to share their stories and experiences working in STEM fields.

For students with a particular interest area, there are 4 themed sessions to choose from: Environmental Sciences, Health and Medical Sciences, Technology & Data Science and Engineering. There are also 4 general sessions covering a range of fields for students interested in all aspects of STEM. Our mentors are from a range of backgrounds and are at different stages in their careers; from aspiring graduates just embarking on their journey to technical experts and managers with decades of experience.

Students can complete the speed-networking circuit alone or with up to 2 friends and all students will receive a show bag with an event program, some information on STEM careers and some goodies from our sponsors. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about STEM careers and be mentored by industry professionals.
