WA not-for-profit The Innovators’ Tea Party hosted 8 career speed-networking events on Sunday 11th and Saturday 17th August 2019, during National Science Week. These events were free and open to all students in years 10-12.
This was a unique opportunity to meet with inspiring female role models working in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths. Our mentors range from technical experts and managers with decades of experience to early-career professionals and graduates. Mentors spoke to students about their career journey and what day-to-day life is like working in their field. Combined, their stories and experiences will help students understand the awesome opportunities that await in the world of STEM.
Students chose to complete the speed-networking circuit solo or in pairs. Students had the opportunity to choose from sessions with a range of STEM fields, or a themed session which catered to specific areas of interest.
