National Science Week 2019

WA not-for-profit The Innovators’ Tea Party will be hosting 8 career speed-networking events on Sunday 11th and Saturday 17th August, 2019, during National Science Week. These events are free and open to all students in years 10-12.

This is a unique opportunity to meet with inspiring female role models working in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths. Our mentors range from technical experts and managers with decades of experience to early-career professionals and graduates. Mentors will speak to students about their career journey and what day-to-day life is like working in their field. Combined, their stories and experiences will help students understand the awesome opportunities that await in the world of STEM.

Students can choose to complete the speed-networking circuit solo or in pairs. Each ticket reserves one table in the circuit. Students can choose from sessions with a range of STEM fields, or a themed session which caters to specific areas of interest.

Year Level: Registrations are open to students in years 10-12 only

Cost: FREE

Most students find that 1 session is more than enough speed-networking for one day! To ensure that this opportunity is made available to as many WA students as possible, there is a cap of 2 session registrations per student.
