🌟 Speed Networking 🌟

We invite high school students in years 10-12 to be part of our science and engineering professional community for the day – have a cup of tea and a career conversation with a team of women in STEM role models in this fast-paced networking event.

What do marine biologists, software engineers, astrophysicists and mining innovators all have in common?

They all started out as curious students — just like you.

STEM careers are diverse, creative and full of possibility, and this event is your chance to hear what real scientists, engineers and technologists actually do.

About this event

STEM Speed Networking is a free careers event for students in years 10 – 12 who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Join us to meet a specially curated group of Women in STEM Mentors who are all passionate about their fields & sharing their career stories. Students will have ~10 minutes with each of our incredible Women in STEM mentors before moving on to the next station.

Stations will also include an activity that links the science you learn at school to real life jobs! This is a great opportunity for students to learn about STEM careers and be mentored by industry professionals.

A note on age restrictions

Younger students are only allowed to attend speed networking if they are accompanied by a sibling who is in the target year level range. For younger students in years 7-9 please check our website for tickets to ‘Inspire in 5’ – a STEM careers seminar for students and their families! We appreciate your understanding in reserving space for the target audience at this event.
