This is a unique opportunity for students to meet with inspiring female role models working in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths. Designed for students in years 10-12, you will speak 1-1 with a number of different Women in STEM. Mentors speak to students about their career journey and what day-to-day life is like working in their field. You will have a few minutes to talk to each mentor, learn about their career stories and ask questions, before moving onto the next. Combined, their stories and experiences will help students understand the awesome array of opportunities that await in the world of STEM.

Students can choose to complete the speed-networking circuit solo or in pairs. Our first session is themed around enginiring, technology and data while our second session will cover as many different STEM fields and industries as possible. If you are attending your session with a friend(s), simply add multiple tickets to a single order. Each ticket reserves a single seat on a table in the circuit so students can attend solo or with others as long as each attendee has a ticket.

This event is perfect for students to get an idea of what STEM careers are out there, and better understand the pathways to them in year 10, 11 and 12. You might be deciding what subjects to take in year 11 and 12 or you might be finishing year 12 and don’t know what path to take, this event is for you.

These events are free to attend for all students in years 10-12. Registration is compulsory because spaces are limited (this is because we need to pair the number of students attending with the number of Women in STEM!).

To ensure this incredible opportunity is made available to as many WA students as possible, we will not be permitting students in lower year levels to register. We do, however, occasionally have students in years 10-12 who would like to bring a younger sibling – we welcome this as long as they complete the speed-networking session together. Thanks for your understanding.
